Son, brother, friend, and more...

I'm no different than your average millennial. A 20-something y/o stumbling upon the same questions we all ask ourselves. What will life look like in the next ten years? Do I want to switch career paths? Am I where I'm supposed to be? I used to find myself scrolling on social media way longer than I should've. I was no stranger to deleting the apps to get my priorities back in order. Maybe it was the incessant scrolling that planted seeds of doubt, which enabled those questions to sprout?

I'm a northerner at heart, but I've contributed a considerable portion of my life to the southeast region of the country. Those who know me are well aware of my partisan bias toward the north. Go Yankees! Family is everything to me; I treasure my loved ones more than anything in this world. Recurrent quality time is a must for me, or I begin to feel out of sync. Physical activity and exercise are things I try to incorporate into my busy days not only for physical well-being but also for mental tactfulness.

I've always aspired to leave a positive mark on the lives of others in some capacity. Hopefully, as you read a post or two, you come across a piece that moves you. Your 20's come with a lot of uncertainty and doubt. We've all experienced a fork in the road that may have caused you to question yourself and possibly your path. I created this site to share some of my self-perceived successes and failures while promoting and encouraging open dialogue, especially among males of color. We tend to conceal a lot within, but it doesn't have to be that way. Let's make it okay to start being vulnerable with each other. You never know who has gone through an experience similar to yours if you don't talk about it. It's possible to learn and grow through others' experiences.
